Curated Market of local producers, plus other entertainment and activities on the day!
Great Western Arcade is hosting a series of themed Curated Markets. Featuring some of the best independent makers and producers from Birmingham and beyond! Come along and support them! Dedicated to fostering a vibrant community hub at the Great Western Arcade, while also championing local artisans and makers.
Join the team as they showcase the incredible talent of our local producers and craftspeople. Each market is themed so you will experience different stalls on every date. Some will have free samples on offer, and demonstrations so you can get to know each maker and learn about what they do.
You can also enjoy unique experiences such as workshops, activities and talks, all in keeping with the theme of the market.
Saturday 29th July
Get involved this weekend with a range of activities such as Smoothie Bike, Cockle Man, Bee keeping with Dr B and a Drawing Workshop.
Smoothie Bike: Blend your very own smoothie using pedal power (proceeds to charity) 12-2pm. Choose your fruits, then get on the Smoothie Bike and see how fast you can make a tasty, healthy treat with Impact 4Life!
Cockle Man: Sing ‘Molly Malone’ with the award-winning Cockle Man, Rod Murtagh. Meet the man who continues this traditional trade and enjoy a taste of the sea!
Bee Keeping with Dr B: Get the latest buzz about beekeeping with three different talks and try and buy delicious local honey from ‘Dr B’. Each talk is on a different topic and free of charge. 12pm The Beekeeping year, 1:30pm Life inside the hive, 3pm What the bees need to survive.
Drawing Workshop: Create a masterpiece! FREE drawing workshop on a foodie theme with local artist Ginger Dan!
Vendors and Traders Announced
An abundance of traders have been announced ready for Saturday 29th July. Why not have a nibble of the delicious cheeses from Anderson & Hill? Or try a Traditional Turkish baklava from BAKLAVACI.
